Paw Mate automatically turns fertile eggs which can be turned every 2 hours for the first 18 days of the incubation period. After day 18, better to keep the lid closed except adding water for humidity enhancement to achieve a good hatching rate and healthy chickens. Paw Mate egg incubator features a front electronic broad. It controls the main parameters of the incubator, a front LCD panel displays plus and minus buttons set and adjusts the temperature to a decimal point to ensure the temperature remains constant to an accuracy of 0.1°C that maximizes hatch rates.

Inside the lid, a grill protects the heating system which is mainly composed of a probe and a fan. Also, it creates both a wonderful internal circulation and thermal insulation from the external.

The design is very compact and easy to clean. Our incubator comes with a complete accessories pack such as feeder, drinker, tester, etc.

What is an Egg Candler Tester? (included)

An egg candler is a device used for testing eggs. Candling eggs is a method of testing eggs while they are incubating to determine if they are viable or not. “Viable” means that the egg is fertilised and an embryo is able to develop and hatch. At Appletons we have used Comfort Heat Plates for many years and it is great to see them now available for sale again in NZ. Over the years we have used them we have found them to be very reliable and an asset when raising chicks. They are made in Holland and are a very well made, good quality product. There are 5 different sizes available offering excellent value for money and with a new very clever height adjusting system, making them incredibly practical and energy saving.

Heat plates are a very natural heating system for chicks as it stimulates the natural heating of a mother hen and makes for healthier chicks. We have used ours in the past to raise pheasants, ducks and chicks with great success. The beauty about these heat plates is that they are very economical to run so, in the long run, be a cost-saving investment. These plates are very easy to use and with the new unique height adjustment system, it makes setting the height easy. Safety has been ensured by including both a temperature and resistance fuse.

The optional regulator is available to purchase separately. The regulator is equipped with a 1-meter long cable. Controls temperature between 20%-100%. To be used up to 100 Watts.
